New Year Optical Top Tips.

1.  Do the 20-20-20 Rule (Every Day)

If you use screens, this is the single best “resolution.”

Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds
Reduces eye strain, dryness, and focus fatigue.

Bonus: Blink 10 times slowly when you do it.

2. Treat Dry Eye Like a Routine, Not a Crisis

If your eyes feel gritty, watery, tired, or sensitive:

Use warm compresses (5–10 min) 3–5x/week

Add preservative-free lubricating drops when needed

Keep a water bottle near your desk
Better comfort, clearer vision, less redness.

3. Wear Proper UV Protection Year-Round

Not just in summer.

Choose sunglasses that block 100% UVA/UVB

A wraparound shape is best for side protection
Helps reduce long-term risk of cataracts and sun damage.

More to come next week.
